The wooden cup "Masu" is usually used for drinking sake at a celebration in Japan. It is considered auspicous and denotes "prosperity" because of a Japanese phrase, "masu-masu", which means "more and more".
How to care
・You may wipe it with a dry cloth or wash it gently with water. After wiping off the water, just let it dry naturally. However, please do not soak it or wash it with hot water.
・Avoid to clean it with a dishwasher too. Otherwise, its adhesion and shape will be affected, resulting in leakage.
With the right care, "Masu" can be more durable.
With a hint of wood, it can also enrich the flavors of sake.
