Types of craft beer?

Pilsner beer is brewed with low colour malts using the method of bottom fermentation, exuding a light golden transparent color. As a representative of lager beer, many large breweries will use this brewing method. Dry, slightly bitter, and fine bubbles are the characteristics of Pilsner beers. In the past, Germany was mainly brewed with hard water, but the refreshing taste of pilsner brewed with soft water can be said to be an epoch-making. Therefore, when it was first introduced in 1842, it was soon become popular, which deeply affected the development of lager beer.

Medium to high alcohol content, copper-like colour, strong hop aroma, and malty flavor are the features of India Pale Ale. As a British colony in the 18th century, India was deeply influenced by British culture. The British who were in India at that time wanted to drink the taste of their hometown, so they shipped beer from England to India. Unfortunately, after a long time of transportation, the taste has already deteriorated and it is not drinkable, so the winery added more hops and alcohol, which played a role of antiseptic and unexpectedly improved the taste to a different level, and made this bitter taste become popular.

American pale ale originated in the United States in the 1980s. On top of the original India pale ale brewing method, it was brewed with local raw materials. Hops in America have a strong citrus, tropical flavor and strong bitter taste, the refreshing aroma and lower alcohol content of the beer making it easier to drink, and thus become one of the most popular types of beer today.
