Introducing exceptional sakes to Saketora's members is one of our missions. This month, we are bringing in two outstanding premium items, one from a secret brand of a famous brewery and another one from a brewery that may remind you of Godard. With only 10 bottles available for each, they are extremely rare. Do seize this opportunity to welcome these two cute babies!
The Secret Sister

Zaku is one of the most sought-after sake brands in the world right now. However, little do we know their brewery, Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten, actually has a secret brand in Japan – Suzukagawa. It is, in fact, their most original and first label that has developed since the 19th century. Similar to Zaku, which is sweet with strong floral and fruity characters, Suzukagawa shows a more intense and classier mouthfeel in general. With smaller production, it is even rarer, and seldom can we find it in a restaurant or department store. It is also so outstanding that it has won the gold in the Annual Japan Sake Awards 5 years in a row. Considering its scarcity, how can you miss its premium Daiginjo?
The Sake’s Godard

Kamoshibito Kuheiji is considered one of the most avant-garde sake brands in recent years. Though established since 1647, the brewery has been striving for breakthrough and had the brewing team sent to France in order to learn her wine-making skills in 2013. Made with the new techniques that combine their traditional craftsmanship, their sakes are famous for being fruity with pleasant minerality and acidity. Not only have they shocked the industry, but also become the first brand adopted by Michelin restaurants in Paris. Compared with the two items we have showcased in February, this new Junmai Daiginjo is rarer and more premium, showing higher complexity with the hints of fennel. Definitely unmissable for Kuheiji fans!
