The brewing of Japanese sake has entered a period of change in recent years, and more and more sake breweries has begun to be taken over by young sake brewers. On the road of cultural inheritance, most of the young brewers have their own ideas, hoping to input new elements on top of the tradition. Founded in the Edo period, the 190-year-old Sake Brewery 'Hakurei' has always been using the traditional brewing style and bottle design. Until the new sake brewer took over in recent years, hoping to change the old-fashioned label and create sake that belongs to this era. Not only is it a breakthrough in the taste, but also paid the effort on bottle design, inviting professional illustrator Mr.Kozo Ando to design the label. By using vivid art as the main theme, Hakurei Brewery wishes to highlight the trendy thoughts with colorful appearance.

Many sake bottle designs adopt traditional Japanese style, and even the label materials are deliberately made of washi paper to highlight the tradition of the sake industry. In order to get rid of this old-fashioned established concept, the brewery invited the professional pop artist, Mr. Kozo Ando, to design a colorful and artistic appearance for sake, bringing a new dimension to the traditional sake industry.
