An innovative Junmai Daiginjo that surprised the world. Using a variety of different yeasts in the brewing process and most importantly, matured in wooden barrels of the famous Scottish whisky factory, Chivas Regal. It is a collaboration by two breweries seperated by 8,888 kilometers. It is a super breakthrough Junmai Daiginjo that combines whiskey and Japanese sake.

8,888 refers to the distance between Chivas Regal, the worldwide famous whisky factory in Scotland, and Masuizumi in Toyama Prefecture in Japan. It fully demonstrates the purpose of transcending the type of liquor, brewing country and cultural barriers. Wooden barrels of Chivas Regal are shipped from Scotland to Japan and used for sake aging. Full of the DNA of Chivas Regal and as called as 'The Art of blending'. With Junmai Daiginjo as main body, it uses a variety of Chivas barrels for and different kinds of yeasts for brewing. The Junmai Daiginjo up to 35% rice-polishing rate has the herbal aroma of wooden barrels, and the taste is unique and rich with the note of honey.
