Blend of Muscat Bailey A, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Oak-aged, elegant and firm. Made by the winery introduced by a famous TV series of Kimura Takuya.
This wine is blended with the Muscat Bailey A (77%) harvested in Mt. Kayagataka, Cabernet Sauvignon (13%) and Merlot (10%) in Hokuto City. The vineyards are located at high elevation, so the the grapes are exposed to long sunshine hours, resulting in thicker skin and firmer tannins. With big diurnal temperature variations, the grapes can ripen slowly with the sugar and acidity level retained. Ruby with purple hues, it is fruit-forward with the notes of raspberry, cherry, blueberry and lavendar. Aged in French oak for 8 months, it also shows some hints of nutmeg and cloves. Medium-bodied and medium in acidity with smooth tannins, it is elegant and mellow.
